75% of Queensland is now a national disaster area. That is, for international folks, about 2x size of Texas and 5x that of the UK.
Queensland’s size is 1.7 million square kilometres, which is:
- nearly seven times larger than the United Kingdom
- larger than South Africa
- more than twice the size of Pakistan
Handy dandy visual guide!
